If your multiple sclerosis is not as advanced as that noted above, disability attorneys can still help you win your disability appeal or disability application if this condition prevents you from working. As you age, the Social Security disability laws change in your favor. After age 50, multiple sclerosis often results in an award of your disability application or disability appeal so long as you are prevented from performing your past jobs. Before age 50 you must prove that your medical condition prevents you from doing any gainful job.
Disability attorneys often point to the many effects of multiple sclerosis in order to prove your case. Since multiple sclerosis can affect your ability to walk, your ability to use your hands, your memory, your ability to concentrate, your energy level etc… there are many avenues that a disability attorney can pursue as a winning theory of your case. If you are experiencing a variety of multiple sclerosis symptoms, it is a good idea to tell your doctor about all of these symptoms as often as possible so that you will be found more credible when you express these symptoms in court. When proving disability applications for multiple sclerosis, disability attorneys often find that it is some of the less obvious symptoms that end up making or breaking your case.
